Mariyah Moten was born in Karachi, Pakistan. She later moved to the U.S. at the age of 5. Mariyah started her modeling career around the age of 16 when she signed with First Models a local modeling agency in the Houston and Los Angeles area.
Miss Moten started her pageant career when she participated in the Miss Pakistan World pageant held in Canada every year. After placing in the Top 5, Houston-based Mariyah Moten was sent off to represent Pakistan, (Islamic nation), in the Miss Bikini of the Universe pageant. She became the first ever to paticipate in a pageant of this nature, which caused an uproar among the Muslim nation. Mariyah received many death threats and was even banned from entering her own country. Mariyah won Miss Press/Best in Media attention since she was the most interviewed and photographed contestant. Mariyah later went on to participate in the Miss Asia International placing in the Top 3 and also won the Miss Charity title at the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, representing Pakistan.

Not only mariyah should ashamed of what she did, but also who are supporting her fo no reason. Is this the reality of them women? I think anyone who has little courage to deny such satan acts won't agree what mariyah did. We as pakistani and muslims should condemend such acts done by any muslim girl no matter which part of the world she belons to.

I hope she has a script to defend how she sold out her morals. alot of people have critisized people who critisize her but the fact is she did her people wrong by attracting unwanted attention to other women. just yesterdayIi saw a muslim women get sexually harrased I jumped in she didnt say anything she left but I could tell she was surprised and gratefull. mariyah is nothing short of a sell out. people praise her for being "independant and free" but its her and others like her that bring unwanted attention to women who are innocent victims..
